Angela’s deep experience working with individuals and teams providing dementia care makes her uniquely qualified to provide dementia training. Her curriculum is peppered with personal experiences and insight that make the material meaningful and relevant for students. It is clear through Angela’s training delivery as well as her community engagement that Angela is dedicated to the care of individuals with dementia and just as importantly those care givers responsible for the lives of this special population.

  • Selection to a task force introducing the Nursing Process Individualized Care Planning at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital, a UK pioneer site.

  • Assignment to a 'Renovation Team', transforming an existing long term care unit from a one room ‘socialized medical setting' to a 'Special Supportive Home for Seniors'.

  • Served as Nurse Trainer in teaching hospitals in the UK and the Middle East.

  • Registered Nurse United Kingdom - 1980

  •  Certified to practice Midwifery in the United Kingdom 1982-2000

  • Graduated from Aging Studies program Central Piedmont Community College, NC - Health Administrator in Adult Care Homes

  • Licensed NC Adult Care Home Administrator

  • Activity Director & Mepap Qualified in the State of North Carolina

  • Nationally Certified Dementia Practitioner and Trainer

  • Contributed to a Caregiver ALZ support book with Home Instead.

  • National Trainer with the Learning Community for Person Centered Practices & NC Division of Aging & Adult Services.

  • Member of NCCDP - National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

  • MAPA - Mecklenburg Activity Professionals Association.

  • Trained in Montessori Practice w/ Dr. Cameron Camp.
